I got in from my run at 11 am, sluiced off the sweat and dirt up on the roof, changed out of my running shorts into a pair of slightly less grubby cargo shorts, t-shirt, and then 10 skinny minutes later I was back out the door pointed for the Mercado.
I bought a kilo of nice fresh steak, three small eggplants, some thick cream and a couple of cartons of cheap Mexican (Baja) red wine.
I cooked the eggplant with onion, finishing it with a little red wine and some green chilies in a cream sauce. I fried a hunk of steak adding only a sprinkling of sea salt.
Pretty damn tasty together with a nice big fat avocado and a couple of squeezes of lime.
