I admit I was a bit dubious when I looked at the packaging: a single 6″ X 60 stick wrapped rather crudely in a tobacco leaf. I read online that the cigar leaf wrapper was better than cellophane for preserving the cigar.
But I have to say that Connecticut wrappers (we’re talking about the cigar itself here) as a general rule put me off because they’re just too damn mild for my tastes.
But this cigar was – while moderate in strength – generally speaking, a pretty fine smoke. Quality build. Good, even burn. Tight ash.
Would I ever buy a box of them? Probably not; I tend to favor much stronger cigars. But if a more moderate strength cigar is your kind of thing then I most certainly wouldn’t turn you away from this brand.
